Axisymmetric unsteady extrusion in short-term creep

Proposed ratio to calculate the pressure and material damage in the reverse extrusion billets. Hot material adopted visco-plastic. Use energy calculation method applied to axisymmetric unsteady velocity field movements. The calculated and experimental data.

Determination of the superplastic properties of aluminum alloys according to the results of the test molds of round membranes with constant pressure

It is proposed method of calculating the standard power law model of superplasticity of the test molds of round membranes to different heights of the dome with a constant pressure and input radius. Mathematical model of technological process is built within the basic assumptions of the membrane theory of shells.

Comparison of results of analytical calculations and experimental data results of the round molds membranes for АМг6М alloy to different heights of the dome with different gas pressures shows acceptable agreement on forming time. The results of analytical calculations are compared to solutions of boundary value problems of the creep theory in the programs ANSYS and Marc.

Intensive plastic deformation and structure formation of metal during equal channel angular extrusion

Methods of severe plastic deformation (SPD) are applied for obtaining ultrafine-grained structure of metals and alloys. The efficiency of deformation grain refinement of SPD methods due to their kinematic characteristics that affect required for nanostructuring of metals the magnitude and deformation mode. In the article, on example of equal channel angular extrusion (ECAE) is shown the role of shear and rotary components of the deformation in the structure formation and evaluated their contribution to the degree of deformation of the sample

The manufacture of pipes by drawing on a hydraulic press using ring gauges with the distribution of the hollow blank on a long mandrel

The features of the free distribution of hollow billet with simultaneous formation of the bottom with the introduction of long bars before being drawn through the ring gauges are shown in the article. The sizes of the region of plastic deformation and the allowable value of the mandrel without buckling of the walls of the billet at hand are given. Based on the analysis of the stress state methodology calculating the design lead-in stage of the mandrel and workpiece, eliminating the increase of the varying wall thickness in the distribution is developed.

Experimental study of the dependence of the process period of ultrasound pressing from its parameters

It is shown the process of ultrasound pressing in the production of racks of the stabilizer and identified some dependencies between the parameters of this process. The obtained experimental dependence allows choosing rational parameters of the process: the pressing force and the amplitude of oscillation of the punch. In addition, the influence of the preload force during the process of ultrasonic pressing is studied. Experiments show that increasing the preload force reduces the pressing time only at low amplitudes of ultrasound vibrations, and at higher amplitudes the impact on the process slightly.

Experimental and analytical evaluation of irregularity of mechanical characteristics of stamped parts

The article shows the effect of the ratio of coefficients of friction on the surfaces of the die and punch on the form of the deformed layer. It is established that changing of these coefficients influences on the resulting shape of the layer with the highest or lowest hardness. Experimental research of influence of conditions of contact friction during the extraction with the wall thinning on the performance of microhardness and microstructure. It is shown that under various conditions of the hood with thinning the structure of grains at the surface of contact with the punch and matrix is much more deformed compared to the central part of the wall. It is confirmed the influence of friction conditions on the punch on the microhardness through the thickness of the wall of the semifinished hoods and on the irregularity of mechanical properties on wall thickness and degree of deformation.

Opportunity of using die inserts made of composite ceramic materials for high temperature isothermal deformation

The article describes the use of ceramics as material for high-temperature isothermal forging. The most suitable material of a ceramic inserts and intermetallic ring for ceramic inserts are chosen. A constructive scheme is developed for application of ceramic inserts. Nickel-based superalloy ЭП975 is deformed into dies with ceramic inserts for different loading rates.

Thermal diffusion sintering and coating of compacts from iron powder in the metal oxide mixture

Thе article describes a new method of combined thermal diffusion of sintering and coating of compacts from iron powder metal oxide in the mixture of pulverized waste. It is experimentally shown sintering and plating of products from low-carbon iron powders in a standard metal oxide powder mixture and in mixtures of wastes of metallurgical and chemical industries. Layered structure of diffusion zone determines is found, the mechanical properties of the surface layers of sintered products alloyed with chromium and chromium compounds for products processed in the standard mixture and in the charge from the waste are given. The mixture of waste is set, catalysts of the reaction and the reducing agents oxides of chromium are selected. This method shows positive results of the joint sintering and diffusion alloying of powders in the mixture of the waste mixture. It is tested on industrial products which need high wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
