Variation model of boundary thickening flanges on cases extrusion

The relationships for the calculation of the technological parameters of extrusion flange thickenings on the case blanks are proposed. Hot material in the deformation zone is accepted to be viscoplastic. A variation method of calculation was applied with reference to a flat discontinuous field of displacement velocities. The results of calculations are presented.

Strength criterion for structurally inhomogeneous materials with an energy-equilibrium main crack under complex loading

 strength criterion is proposed for structurally inhomogeneous materials with an energy-equilibrium main crack under complex loading, based on the Griffiths formulas for critical stress in a plane stress state and plane strain and the Tsybulko formula for the natural normal stress in a complex stress state, taking into account the effective stress concentration coefficient.

The structure and properties of powder steel 30X3M obtained with the use of various charge materials

Powder mixtures based on iron are made, similar in composition to cast steel 30X3M, by two methods: multicomponent mixing and using dispersed powders of carbon ferrochrome (FeCrC) and ferromolybdenum (FeMo). Samples are made according to the scheme: pressing – distillation of the plasticizer – prepressing – sintering in vacuum. Comparative tests are carried out to determine the strength characteristics of the samples. The microstructures of materials are obtained and analyzed.

There are described the results of the sequence of design and development of a functional circuit and the stages of manufacturing a modern magnetic-pulse system for high-speed deformation of sheet metal parts, as well as the shaping and assembly of tubular parts.

Evaluation of heterogeneous voltage distribution and deformations during extraction with a local thinning wall

The process of drawing with thinning, obtained previously semi-finished by the operation of drawing with the implementation of intense plastic deformation, is considered. When drawing with thinning of the wall, intense plastic deformation occurs due to the local action of the tool on the protruding sections of the semi-finished product. The results of studies of drawing processes with wall thinning and local wall thinning are presented. The influence of tool geometry on the values of the non-uniformity of deformations and stresses of the processes under consideration is established. A comparison of the results is given.

Achievements of «MISiS» in the production of forgings of shafts, discs and rings for the energy, aviation and astronautics

A short information on unique forgings of shafts, disks and rings forged with the using of «MISiS» processes during last 50 years is presented before the description of some new achievements. 8 new processes were realized at Kulebaky «Ruspolymet» during December 2017-th to December 2018-th and the 19-th one what is not known yet in the world was represented. High efficiency of forging with the using of macroshear strains is confirmed by 9 technical data what is higher than included in delivery documents.
