The study of combined extrusion of glasses with the co-bottom part.
Part 2. Statement of the variational research problem

Various possible variants of the process of combined extrusion of glasses with a conical bottom part, the mathematical consideration of which is necessary for the successful solution of the general variational problem of describing this process are analyzed. The results of preliminary experiments, confirming the high efficiency of the proposed method of extrusion are shown. The general method for solving the variational problem is chosen.
Keywords: die forging; metal beaker with conical bottom part; combined extrusion.

Strength criterion for plastic materials in view of the stress concentration under complex loading

A criterion for the strength of plastic materials in view of the stress concentration under complex loading is considered, based on the dependence of the destructive factor: normal stresses on the components of the specific potential deformation energy.
Keywords: strength; normal stress; deformation; potential energy; detachment.

Isothermal flash-free stamping with non-stationary viscoplastic deformation

The technological scheme is considered and the relations are obtained for calculating the hot deformation modes of the workpieces by upseting with extrusion. The material is accepted visco-plastic. The energy calculation method is used for the axisymmetric nonstationary deformation scheme. The results of calculations are given, product samples are presented.
Keywords: velocity field; viscoplasticity; power; pressure; material continuity.

Influence of structure and thermomechanical deformation parameters on EP742 superalloy processing plasticity

This paper presents research results of EP742 superalloy hot deformation. Influence of heat treatment mode and thermomechanical deformation parameters on structure changes determined by dissolution and extraction from solid solution of gamma prime phase, dynamic recrystallization and grain growth was considered. Parameters of thermomechanical treatment of EP742 which provides forming of structure with regulated solid solution grain size and gamma prime morphology causes ductility growth was determined. This paper is of interest to specialists developing hot deformation technological processes of complex chemical and phase composition.
Keywords: superalloy; deformation; heat treatment; recrystallization; thermomechanical treatment; processing plasticity; grain size; gas turbine engines discs.

Finite element modeling of the process of superplastic forming of a rectangular membrane

Superplastic forming of a long rectangular sheet is considered both analytically and by means of finite element considerations. Mathematical model is based on the usage of principal equations of the thin shell theory. Finite element modeling is effected by means of solving the boundary value problem which is stated by using Perzyna’s model of viscoplasticity. The comparison of the finite element solutions with corresponding analytical predictions is fulfilled. The conclusion is made that the simplified mathematical model developed can be used in practice if 6 % accuracy of calculations is believed to be acceptable for modeling.
Keywords: superplastic forming; rectangular membrane; viscoplasticity; ANSYS.

An efficiency of natural macroshears while open-die forging

Some findings of mechanical metal properties testing of three high alloyed steel forgings what were produced by three different processes are presented in the article. A famous feature of all three forging processes is an intensification of natural macroshears while forging. It is obtained that no one specimen was destroyed while impact bending: all specimens were bended but not ruptured. It was the only case in forging practice of PAO «Ruspolimet». The reason of such unusual testing results is a deformational action on metal structure while forging process did in three different manners.
Keywords: impact bending; forging; macroshears; ingot.
