Investigation of internal radial extrusion of a pipe blank. Part 6. Methods for calculating the technological parameters of extrusion of products with different radii of the upper and lower parts

Set out scientifically-based methods for calculating the main technological parameters of the internal radial extrusion tube billet in order to obtain products with a different radius of the upper and lower parts. All the formulas needed to determine the strength of the process, the maximum stresses acting on the various forming elements of the stamp, determining the accumulated deformations at any points of the resulting product, as well as taking into account the strengthening of the extruded material are given.

Criterion of catastrophic destruction of materials in fragile condition under complex loading

A criterion is proposed for the catastrophic destruction of materials in a brittle state under complex loading, which is based on the dependence of the destructive factor: normal stresses on the values of individual components of the specific potential deformation energy.

Deforming devices with multi-link force actuator from material with a «shape memory»

The article describes the design of new multi-link power elements, methods of sealing, deforming devices and devices with a power element made of an alloy with a «shape memory». The characteristics of such power drives (deformation-force, speed, return forces, etc.) are investigated. An example of using a multi-link power drive during creating a laboratory press designed to perform separation operations on thin-sheet blanks is considered.

Operating characteristic improving of machine parts by friction cladding

This article is dealt with increase of equipment working capacity by forming on the working surfaces functional wear-resistant and antifriction coatings by friction cladding. Features of a choice of rational methods of cladding of various coverings and the practical applications of the plating method with a flexible tool are given.

Perspective technologies of the production of disk billets with gradient mechanical properties made from ni-base superalloys for application in aircraft jet-engines

Technological aspects of the production of disk billets with dual microstructure and gradient mechanical properties made from cast&wrought and also P/M Ni-base superalloys in various combinations are presented. The method of regulated recrystallization of grains in different regions of hot worked disk billet, powder technology («powder+powder» and «powder+compact» schemes), welding using pressure are reviewed. Some alternative ways are described.
