Strength criterion for materials with cracks under complex stress state

A criterion for the strength of materials with a crack under a complex stress state is proposed, based on Griffiths formulas for critical stress and the Tsibulko formula for total natural stress used in a complex stress state.
Keywords: crack; voltage is critical; natural; normal; tangent; complete; tensile strength.

Magnetic pulse assembly technology in the production of bimetallic earthing

The article presents the variants of constructive solutions for the implementation of bimetallic ground rods oriented on magnetic-pulse technology. The results of calculations and experimental studies on the choice of the optimal dimensions, both of the joint structures, and the elements of the inductors' tooling, and the power parameters of the assembly process are given.
Developed design and assembly technology brought to the pilot implementation. Prototypes of bimetallic ground rods that meet the requirements of regulatory documents were obtained and tested.
Keywords: bimetallic earthing; steel-copper; magnetic pulse assembly; inductor; transient resistance.

Ensure accuracy and reliability of the stamped and welded elements of pipeline systems of the aircraft

In addition to piping operating loads (pressure, vibration, temperature, etc.) face additional burden due to the mounting stresses. Mounting stresses occur in the result of derivatives of deviations from the norms of manufacturing precision parts and precision location of the locations (from the deformation of the structure). The mounting tension arising from the installation of pipes to the product is characterized by production deviations in the length in the area mates with the fitting and the eccentricity between the axes of the pipe and fitting.
To reduce mounting stresses in detachable and non-detachable connections mounting of workpieces depending on the stiffness characteristics should be considered compensation the capabilities of both the pipe and joints pipe ends. In this work defines a group of precision for the manufacture of parts of pipelines with detachable and permanent connections. Reviewed schematics to check the strength and tightness of mounting workpieces.
Researches have shown that each group has a specific accuracy requirements to pipelines during their manufacture and installation.
Keywords: the mounting of the workpieces; detachable and permanent connection; the mounting tension; strength; tightness.

A concept of decision making for computer-aided arrangement of parts within a forging

The paper describes decision-making concept and knowledge base for arrangement of individual parts into a joint forging during computer-aided forging design. Three goals of arrangement variant selection are formulated and proximity measures of each variant to the corresponding goals are defined. Estimation and ranking rules for arrangement are constructed depending on stated goal importance. The concept is implemented for computer-aided design of shaft press forging developed at the Institute of Engineering Science, Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Ekaterinburg) and it can be used for various types of press and hammer forgings.

Keywords: computer-aided process planning system; forging, arrangement of parts within forging; decision making; knowledge base; membership function.

Simulation of the process of radial punching of products with hexagonal heads

Finite element modeling of the process of radial forming of hexagonal heads of rod products is performed. The regularities of changes in the radial punching force and the conditions of formation of hexagon ribs depending on the movement of the forming dies are established.
Keywords: fasteners; hex head; radial forming; forming dies; deformation forces; forming hexagon ribs.
